Trend watch: Coloristiq nail polish rental service

Coloristiq is an online nail polish rental service that launched in October in the UK. Aiming to do what Netflix and LoveFilm did for DVDs, Coloristiq enables members to set a wish list of shades from a range of salon brands including Essie, OPI, China Glaze and Morgan Taylor, and receive three nail polishes from their wish list per month. For a monthly fee of ￡14.49, members get up to nine paintings (each of two coats) with three different colours before returning them in pre-paid packaging. Founder and CEO Julita Lange tells ECM what she believes the rental model offers customers that they can't find anywhere else.
