NPC set to issue bids

National Petrochemical (NPC) is moving ahead with plans for a new cracker and derivative units in the western province of Ilam, Iran (ECN 16 September). Mohammad Khayat, engineering director of NPC subsidiary, Petrochemical Industries Development Management, said that bid documents are being prepared for the engineering and procurement contract and should be issued within a month. European and Japanese companies will be tendering for the project.
