Many readers will have pondered over the advert in recent editions of "Beekeeping" requesting members to save redundant, unmated, and fertile or Drone laying queens and to send them to Reg Godwin of Holsworthy or your Editor. As the years go by many fundamental doctrines that we are taught from our start in the craft seem to be less and less certain. Actually it's a feeling that comes with age in almost all aspects of life. We are in a very unpredictable and uncertain world. The only certain thing is that each generation seems to start believing they have all the answers to everything. In beekeeping I have found there are so many myths and uncertainties that we seem to be on the starting line every year.
