We read with interest the recent article by Drs Corbanese and Possamai1 regarding awake intubation with the Bonfils fibrescope in patients with a difficult airway. In managing difficult airways, we have also often used the Bonfils fibrescope to perform airway topical anaesthesia and awake orotracheal intubation.
