The fed-cattle market in the Amarillo feedlot area remained stuck at $63/cwt, during February. According to the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, trading volume during each week varied from almost a standoff to record-high movements. For example, during the week of February 23, a total of 112,847 head of confirmed sales of fed cattle were made, 7,000 more than the previous record (105,821) set in September 1995.
