June brought some slight price relief, Fed steers rose 3 dollar/cwt early in the month but turned lower toward the end. Choice Amarillo slaughter steers ended the month, with very little trade, in the 60-61 dollar range. Feeder cattle and calves fared a bit better. Prices for feeders moved up steadily until weakening in late month. The average June price should be about 3 dollar/cwt over May.
