Manage your grazing

I have the opportunity to visit with many ranchers. When asking about the way they graze, it's obvious some aren't totally aware about grazing and its effects on soil and plant productivity and health. The fact is, I've seen many ranches become much more productive and profitable, and some even pulled back from the brink of bankruptcy, by their managers learning how to manage grazing. Grazing has numerous effects on plants and soil that, in turn, have a number of effects on the water cycle, mineral cycle, sunlight energy flow and biological succession. These are followed by improvements on future productivity.
