Specific Humus Features in Some Soils of Western Siberia

摘要

The book under review represents the outcome of 25-year-long studies of automorphic soils performed by B.M. Klenov in different regions of Western Siberia. In the first chapter, the author examines the ecological role of soil humus in a comprehensive and versatile manner. He uses and generalizes a considerable number of Russian and foreign literature sources, which allows him to draw a conclusion about differences in the stability of humus in natural and disturbed ecosystems.
