New office for Global Fruit Point

As eastern European markets begin to recover from the economic malaise of the past year, one German company is looking to establish a firm foothold in the region. German importer Global Fruit Point will highlight the recent opening of its new office in Prague during this year's Fruit Logistica as it bids to increase its presence in eastern Europe on the back of growing demand for regular, dedicated supply programmes. Under general manager Alexis Schlenew, the company's direct representation in the Czech capital is expected to help it respond to increased calls from retailers - many of them German -for direct supplies of fresh fruit from overseas as well as Europe.
