Full check-up for Italian courgettes: Fondi Wholesale Market and Syngenta are cooperating on a new project aimed at pushing forward innovation and product development within Italy's courgette industry

Situated halfway between Rome and Naples in the Province of Lazio, Fondi Wholesale Market has joined with leading vegetable seed developer Syngenta in calling upon players in the Italian courgette market to focus on making the category more competitive and creating added value. On 16 January, the two organisations will team up to hold a study day at the centre dedicated to Italian courgette production, with the aim of guaranteeing a competitive future for the country's highly valued courgette industry. The companies have invited a number of key industry players from Italy and from abroad in order to discuss the hidden potential for the sector as well as the possible challenges it may face in the medium term, both in terms of trade and production.
