摘要

The applicability of data on ion activity in water extracts for assessing salinization-desalinization processes in virgin and ameliorated solonchakous solonetzes and meadow-chestnut soils of the clayey semidesert (the northern part of the Caspian Lowland) is tested. A scheme for the calculation of Cl~- concentration in the water extract on the basis of data on the activity of Cl~- ion and salt concentration in the water extract measured by the electrical conductivity method is suggested.
