摘要

The changes in the macrofauna were studied in soils under conditions of mowing with removal of plant residues and application of mineral and organic fertilizers in the territory of the memorial estate Spasskoe-Lutovinovo. The removal of plant residuesfrom the soil surface was found to decrease the total number of large soil invertebrates: earthworms, myriapods, and insect larvae. The return of the plant biomass in the form of humus increases the macrofauna population. The use of urea contributes toan increase in the population of soil macrofauna some time after its application. Motor exhausts adversely affect the soil invertebrates in the sample plot nearby the parking area.
