GEOMORPHOLOGICAL DIFFERENTIATION AND GENESIS OF COVER LOAMS OF THE CENTRAL RUSSIAN PLAIN

摘要

Analysis of large-scale soil and topographical maps and data on the soil-particle distribution of soils (small sand fractions) has established the spatial inhomogeneity of loesslike loams of the central Russian plain and the dependence of the genesis of the rocks on their geomorphological and hypsometric position. A glacial lake hypothesis is proposed for the formation of loesslike loams on lower levels of the topography.
