Agricom in bid to expand its apple deal: Grower-exporter Agricom is considering a purchase option on its Curico apple plant.

AGRICOM Ltda, the Santiagobased fruit export firm that recently expanded into the apple export trade, will decide later this year whether or not to exercise a purchase option on the Curico apple packing plant that it now half owns. "We are Looking carefully at exercising our option to buy the remaining half of the Curico packing plant, but the final decision will depend on how successful this year's apple deal is," says Agricom's apple division trading director Mario Rodriguez, a U-yearveteran of Chile's fruit business.
