Emirates launches new African and asian routes

ON 1 October, Emirates SkyCargo introduced two new dedicated cargo freighter services to Johannesburg and Lahore. The former is being served by a Boeing 747-400F with a capacity of 124 tonnes, while Lahore is served by a Boeing 747-200F with a payloadof 100 tonnes. "The freighter to Johannesburg returns via Nairobi, picking up perishables such as fresh vegetables, flowers and fish, which wing their way to international markets to help satisfy the multicultural palates of today's European consumers," says Ram Menen, senior vice-president of cargo.
