A concept of irrigation-induced accumulative lithopedogenesis in the and zone is discussed.Anthroposols (anthropozems) and other components of the geochemical landscapes of ancient agricultural oases are characterized by the synlithogenic (synsedimentary) genesis dictated by the combined effect of the accumulation of irrigation sediments and pedogenesis. A comprehensive characterization of irrigated anthropozems in the main ancient oases is given.
