Approximation of empirical distributions of soil properties according to statistical laws

The methodology of information acquisition on soil objects is considered in relation to the procedures of statistical data processing. It was shown that the type of statistical distribution of a property values depends on the method of data acquisition. The same data set can be approximated by using different statistical laws. and formal criteria are insufficient for selecting the best of them. Therefore, the absolutization of statistical distribution laws is not reasonable.
