The 2007/08 season was an extremely successful one for French apple brand Pink Lady, with exceptional fruit quality and volume growth of 13 per cent over the previous season. This season, which gets underway at the beginning of November, both quantityand quality are expected to be similarly successful, providing the ideal base for the brand's huge upcoming promotional campaign. Today, with nearly 100,000 tonnes of apples marketed a year, Pink Lady is the leading European apple brand on the market. "We are always searching for impeccable quality," says marketing and commercial manager Laurence Clavier. "Pink Lady apples are produced with respect for the environment, and respond to a list of demanding expectations regarding sugar content, texture, colour and traceability.
