Ecological Functions of Soils and the Effect of Contamination with Heavy Metals

摘要

The effect of contamination with heavy metals on the biogeocenotic functions of ordinary cher-nozems was studied. A series of model and field experiments was performed to investigate the mechanisms and consequences of contamination with Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg, and Pb applied as different chemical compounds on soil properties and processes determining the ecological functions of soil and its resistance to anthropogenic loads.
