Despite producing consistently high quality fresh fruits and vegetables, Jordanian growers are finding the challenge of breaking into new export markets hard to overcome. IN a concerted effort to expand its fruit and vegetable export markets, Jordan'sExport and Development Corporation (JEDCO) staged the country's first ever international buyers trip this spring, timed to coincide with its second annual fresh produce fair, Sawsana. Nine importers from Qatar, Kuwait, Hungary and Switzerland spent three days touring the exhibition, visiting producers and meeting with government and private sector representatives looking to grow the sector.
