So Aussie Fresh may be a new name in the Australian citrus industry, but it has been formed by an experienced group of growers eager to regain control of their own destiny. A GROUP of experienced, independent citrus growers in South Australia's Riverland have formed a new group called So Aussie Fresh ahead of the new season. The majority of the 44 growers involved in the company previously marketed their fruit through Vitor Marketing under a grower-trust system. But Vitor Mar keting has been restructured following corporate acquisitions by the Chiquita Brands SouthPacific/Timbercorp/SAITeysMcMa hon alliance, which has completely different agendas to these growers, according to Richard Clark, chief executive of So Aussie Fresh.
