Application of Similarity Theory for the Study of Soil Compaction Phenomena

摘要

Dimension analysis and the similarity theory have been applied to study the phenomenon of soil compaction.A dimensionless complex-a similarity criterion-has been suggested to describe soil compaction.This criterion has been verified on the basis of experimental data.A correlation between the elaborated criterion and the degree of soil compaction is established.
