London—As avocado consumption climbs, Latin American growers are staking their claim in new markets across the globe.Soaring global interest in avocados is fuelling an increase in planted area across many regions of Latin America. Consumers in the US - the world's biggest avocado importer -can't get enough of the green gold and, thanks largely to the promotional efforts of the Hass Avocado Board, demand continues to outpace supply.
