FARM COUNCIL: LUXEMBOURG PRESIDENCY TO PUT IMPETUS ON RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND CAP FUNDING

Rural development and the financing of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) will be at the forefront of the priorities of Luxembourg's six-month Presidency of the European Union, the Grand Duchy's Farm Minister Femand Boden announced whilst chairing his first Farm Council in Brussels on January 24. The Minister said Luxembourg would "seek to ensure that the Regulation on rural development is adopted as soon as possible".
