'Emissions credits'

In Ineos Manufacturing Scotland Ltd v Grangemouth CHP Ltd [2011] EWHC 163 (Comm) the commercial court considered the meaning of 'emissions credits' in the context of an electricity supply agreement. The claimant (C) claimed that certain emission allowances issued in respect of a combined heat and power plant were "C02 Emissions Credits accruing to" the first defendant (G) within the meaning of an electricity supply agreement between the parties.
