Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Wales) Regulations 2016

These Regulations consolidate with amendments the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999 ("the 1999 Regulations") and subsequent amending instruments. The 1999 Regulations consolidated and updated earlier instruments which implemented the 1985 Council Directive on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. That 1985 Directive has been replaced by Directive 2011/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2011 on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. Directive 2011/92/EU has been amended by EU Directive 2014/52/EU.
