There are different bands of council tax ranging from A to H which depend upon the overall value of the dwelling house in question.In England they proceed from a relevant value was laid down on 1st April 1993,and as yet there has been no general revision of the bands.Any changes have depended upon an individual being able to show that the provisions of the Act enabling a change have come into effect.
