Snapshot: Pace of Global Demand Growth Slips in Spring

The pace of growth for global jet fuel demand slowed in May from the strong 4.5 gain seen in the first quarter. Consumption in a group of representative countries rose by 2.9 as weakness in Europe and some emerging markets weighed on the worldwide picture. Liftings in Japan also reversed course after growing by 3.5 in the first three months. Among key European markets, France was the only country to post a gain in May.
