Ethnobotany of some household remedies used against animal and insect bite in Bundi district, Rajasthan

摘要

The paper reports ethnomedicinal uses of 23 plant species collected from rural inhabitants of Bundi district, Rajasthan. Dominant ethnic communities using medicinal plants in the area are Bagri, Bairagi, Gurjar, Meghwal, etc. Some unexploited uses ofplants have been revealed through this study. For example, roots of Datura metel mixed with cow's urine are found to be very effective against dog bite.
