Kurichya Inbe inhabits different parts in Wayanad district of Kerala. The present study deals with the ethnoveterinary knowledge of the Kurichyas and the medicinal plants used by them for the treatment of diseases of domestic animals such as cattle, dogs and poultry. The study revealed that 39 species of flowering plants are used as veterinary medicines. Of these, 4 species belong to Asteraceae, 3 each to Myrtaceae, Rutaceae. Zingiberaceae and Fabaceae. Among the cattle alone, 13 diseases are recorded which are cured by 36 species. Highl species are used for curing 5 diseases in dogs, and 3 species for the poultry diseases.
