Eni and StatoiI awarded operatorship in pre-salt offshore Angola

Eni has been awarded participation and operatorship of Block 35 in deepwater offshore Angola, 150 km off the coast of Luanda. The block covers 4831 km2 of potential pre-salt mining acreage.Eni has a 30% interest in the block, as the other partners are Sonangol Pesquisa & Producao 45% and Repsol 25%. The deal involves the drilling of two wells and conducting 3D seismic surveys on a 2500 km2 area, which will be carried out in the first five vears of exploration.
