Innovative concept for natural gas compressor stations

Together with WINGAS GmbH, MAN Turbo AG has developed an innovative plant concept for compressor stations for transporting natural gas. The concept utilizes the exhaust heat from the gas turbines to operate a further steam turbine. Thanks to this, the overall output of the station increases about a quarter without consuming additional energy. Operating 24 hours a day, the compressor station in Mallnow, Brandenburg, handles nearly a third of Germany's natural gas requirement.
