PGNiG SA and Chevron to explore for Polish shale gas together

Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and Chevron Polska Energy Resources signed a collaboration agreement for shale gas exploration in south-eastern Poland. Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate in appraising shale gas deposits in four exploration licence areas in southeastern Poland - two owned by PGNiG (Tomaszow Lubelski and Wiszniow-Tar-noszyn) and two belonging to Chevron (Zwierzyniec and Grabowiec). The detailed scope and schedule of exploration work will be determined by a Joint Technical Committee appointed by both parties.
