Aug. 1—Heading into August, the market is still trying to decipher what the immense drop in August corn basis is going to mean long term. Until recently, there was still a lot of question as to -whether plants were going to be able to economically source corn for August and September. Now, corn is cheaper, but ethanol is as well, so the question remains, but now for different reasons.
