KiOR Wins U.S. Patent for ‘Renewable Heating Oil'

The U.S. Patent Office announced January 4 that Texasbased biofuels producer KiOR won a patent for a renewable heating oil scheme. According to the patent authors, “embodiments of the present invention relate generally to more stable and valuable bio-oils made from biomasses, more specifically it relates to bio-oils that are useful as heating oil.
