Regulatory uncertainty in the EU is creating a “dramatic slowdown” in the rate of investment in traditional firstgeneration biofuels, and advanced (second-generation) biofuels “do not appear to be compensating for this decline,” according to a report issued December 9 by Agra CEAS Consulting Ltd., a joint-venture between Imperial College London and Informa plc.
