Cobalt Successfully Demonstrates Pretreatment Process

Cobalt Technologies on March 7 announced that it has achieved major progress toward commercialization by suc- cessfully demonstrating its biomass pretreatment process. Cobalt, in cooperation with ANDRITZ, tested its dilute acid hydrolysis pretreatment process, the first step of Cobalt’s process for converting sugars into n-butanol for use as a re- newable chemical or fuel.
