U.S. Rep. Scott Peters (D-Calif.) on December 13 introduced two bills aimed at extending tax breaks to the advanced biofuels industry. One, H.R. 3758, proposes to extend the secondgeneration biofuel producer credit and the special allowance for second-generation biofuel plant property. The other, H.R. 3757, would extend and make tax credit for research and development (R&D) permanent.
