ASTM Approves Standard Fuel Specification for DME

ASTM International on February 3 issued a standard specification for dimethyl ether (DME) for fuel purposes. The specification, ASTM D7901(entitled “Standard Specification for Dimethyl Ether for Fuel Purposes”), covers DME for use as a fuel in engines specifically designed or modified for DME, and for blending with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
