Hardcore Ferrari 458 Speciale benefits from advanced technology developed for LaFerrari hypercar. The new 458 Speciale is the first regular production Ferrari to get technology from the LaFerrari hypercar. A successor to the 430 Scuderia, the 458 Speciale was introduced at the Frankfurt motor show, complete with a 597bhp 4.5-litre V8. This is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in the company's history and, with 133bhp per litre, it also has the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated engine ever used in a road car. The car, which is expected to cost £205,000-£210,000 when it reaches the UK next spring, is good for 0-62mph in 3.0sec. The 458 Speciale features several nods to LaFerrari. Its active aerodynamics - a first for a V8 Ferrari - include a rear diffuser with flaps that open to increase load in corners and reduce drag on straights, a system inspired by the LaFerrari's. This aero package makes the Speciale the second most aerodynamically efficient model in Ferrari's history, after LaFerrari.
