The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a notice March 18 explaining that it intends to initiate activities to improve the petition process for new renewable fuel pathways under the federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). The agency said that it has determined that improvements should be made to the petition process to “enable more timely and efficient decision-making,” according to the EPA.
