UPM Provides Update of Wood-Based Renewable Diesel Fleet Tests at VTT

Finland-based pulp/paper producer UPM announced February 27 that the first vehicle fleet tests of its woodbased renewable diesel – dubbed “UPM Verno” – “works in cars just as well as any regular diesel,” according to the company in a statement. The fleet tests were conducted by the VTT Technical Research Center (Finland) using Volkswagen (VV-Auto Group) cars. The vehicle fleet test launched in May 2013 and ran until early this year.
