Two new species of Phraortes are described from the Ryukyus of Japan. Phraortes kumensissp. nov. is described from Kume-jima Island, and P.yonaguniensissp. nov. from Yonaguni-jima Island. The morphology of the females, males and eggs of the new species is illustrated.
