A new subgenus, Acarnana subgen. n. with the type species Acarna karnyi Baker, is established in Acama Stal. Acarna fulgoroides sp. n. from Papua New Guinea is described in the nominotypical subgenus. The subfamily Acaminae is downgraded to a tribe, its limits are extended.
