Since the invention of the programmable controller by Dick Morley and his team at Bedford Associates in the late 60s, the Modular Digital Controller (MODICON) has undergone a lot of changes. So has the company that Morley and his colleagues founded all those years ago, Modicon, now part of Schneider Electric, is marketed under the Telemecanique Industrial brand.. And like Morley, Modicon is still a source of innovation in the industrial control industry.
