The Stonefly Fauna in the Central Sikhote-Alin Mountains with Description of a New Species

The data on the stonefly fauna in the central Sikhote-Alin mountains are summarized. Sixty species of 30 genera and 8 families are recorded. The geographical distribution, emergence periods, and abundance are analyzed for every species. The palaearchearctic1 22 and easternpalaearclic 20 species predominate in the central Sikhote-Alin fauna over the Pacific species 8; circumpolar, transpalaearctic, and amphiberingian species are rare. A new species, Paracapnia leisteri sp. n., is described.
