The Coniferous Tussock Moth (Calliteara abietis, Lepidoptera, Lymantriidae) in Buryatia

The coniferous tussock moth Calliteara abietis Denis et Schiffermiiller, 1775 (Lepidoptera, Lymantriidae) outbreaks occur in Eastern Siberia. The biological characteristics and outbreak dynamics of this species in the late twentieth century and in thetwenty-first century are described. Outbreaks of the moth are shown to occur both separately and along with Siberian and white striped (in Sakhalin) lappet moths.
