Gall midges (Diptera, Cecidomyiidae) developing on wormwoods (Artemisia spp.): Taxa from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan: 8. genus Seriphidomyia gen. n.

摘要

The genus Seriphidomyia gen. n. with two subgenera (nominotypical subgenus and Polynomyia) is described. Thirty-eight species are included in the genus; among these, 25 are new to science, and 13, transferred from the genus Rhopalomyia. Ten species of the nominotypical subgenus are described, with data on their biology and distribution given. These gall midges develop on wormwoods of the subgenera Artemisia and Seriphidium.
