THE REGULATORY REGIME: Four new federal rules that will affect your company

Construction has always been a highly regulated industry. In a recent survey of Equipment World readers (see page 60), 72 percent said increased regulations had caused them to quit doing certain jobs. Another 72 percent said it had caused them to increase the number of hours devoted to fulfilling requirements. But in the past few years the number and scope of regulations has increased dramatically. To run a successful business, you have to stay abreast of these.
