The Fauna of Shore-Flies (Diptera, Ephydridae) of Alas Meadows in the Lena-Amga Interfluve (Central Yakutia)

The fauna of shore-flies of alas meadows in central Yakutia (Sakha) has been studied for the first time. Twenty-eight species of fifteen genera are recorded. The Ephydridae shore-flies are the next in the abundance (18% of dipterans) after Chloropidaein dipteran communities. All the shore-fly species prefer hyperhumid areas. Five species are first recorded in eastern Siberia. Lamproscattella aklavik. previously known only from northwestern Canada, is recorded in the Palaearctic Region for the firsttime.
